Telluride Home

Great experience. The location was great. We had an 8 year old and 10 year old and the house is easily walkable to the gondola wearing ski boots and carrying skis. We like staying in town because it’s more active and there’s more to do. We would rent this house again. It had everything we needed and was comfortable place to stay for family of four traveling with grandma.

During our recent stay in Telluride, we wanted to just relax without any hard and fast plans so I picked a location in town so that we could walk to dinner or shops. I hadn’t been in Telluride before so wasn’t 100% sure what the “getting around” would look like. It was the BEST location. 3 minute walks to dinner and shops, super easy. While it was just my husband and myself, the property had 3 bedrooms complete with their own full-size bathrooms so would be great for multiple couples or a bigger family. The bed was comfy plus plenty of pillows made for a great night’s sleep. The hot tub on the little 2nd floor deck was visited most nights. It was good and hot and very clean (some aren’t, as you know) and the line of trees separating the property provided a decent level of privacy. The kitchen was well-stocked and even had a good assortment of wine glasses (wine store just down the street too). I only wish they’d had a Keurig instead of just a regular drip coffee maker. They’re just so much easier to get the flavor you want without having to make a whole pot. Gas fireplace in the family room made it easy to take the chill off. Property Management group did very well with communicating with me prior to and during our stay. This home was perfect for our stay, would highly recommend.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Racer's Roost. The short walk (less than three blocks) to the gondola is hard to beat for skiing convenience. The house is understated but very nice, clean and functional. The hot tub was a great bonus—an amentity not available in many more expensive rentals. You get the feeling this is a house that is used by the owner and well taken care of. We had no problems and would stay there again.

Racers Roost was absolutely perfect in every way. The location is ideal - two blocks from the river and two blocks from the heart of downtown Telluride. The house is very roomy - larger than it looks, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. All the necessities were thoughtfully provided. The property manager was very helpful in answering questions before and during our stay. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and Racers Roost is by far the best!

You couldn't find a better place to stay in Telluride; it was everything we expected based on the website description and more.The house had everything we repeated trips to the market for minor cooking odds and ends. The kitchen had all the plates, flatware, glasses, and gadgets you have at home. There was a wine fridge, a smart TV with loaded with all the Apps you need (we didn't need to use the Roku Stick we travel with), parking, 2.5 blocks to the gondola, a few blocks to the market, restaurants, and all the other shops...you can get anywhere walking. The Weber grill runs on a house hookup so no running out of propane (we are heavy grilling folks). The house was immaculately clean and just-like-home comfortable.The Welcome to Telluride crew (Pam, Kim, and Peter) were friendly and extremely helpful.Though we didn't leave the house in a shambles, my favorite part of the checkout instructions were "There's nothing you need to do. Nothing with linens or towels. Just lock the door behind you."Definitely staying here when we return.(Book directly with Welcome To Telluride to avoid VRBO, AirBnB, etc fees!)

Nice location, walk to Gondola, grocery and restaurants. Flew to Montrose and did not rent a car, as advised by Pam & Peter. Home is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Hot tub and heated floors are nice to have. Pam at TVR was very helpful with recommendations and Peter greeted us at the home which was great service. Recommend this home and TVR.

From start to finish, this gorgeous house with all of its amenities were a perfect vacation/online school/work location in Telluride. Just off Main Street for anything we could ask for yet so quiet, we enjoyed our week and did not want to leave. The vacation rental company checked on us several times to see if we needed anything, but it was all perfect. We will definitely earmark Racers' Roost for return. We had a lovely time meeting one of the owners too!

I could wax on and on about this AMAZING little mountain town but then it might become even more difficult to find a place to stay. BUT...I can't help myself. This was our second trip to Telluride and our second stay at Racer's Roost. You could not find a more welcoming and relaxing atmosphere than Racer's Roost. "Home away from Home" is such a cliché but could not be more fitting. It has everything you need and want and didn't realize you were missing when it comes to the steam showers and hot tub. Our family had ANOTHER wonderful time and hope to make this an Annual trip. THANK YOU RACERS ROOST!!

SKI TRIP

house was nicely appointed with all the extras a family would need staying in cooking dinner or just hanging at the house. The three separate masters were great as they allowed our teen kids to have their own space. The hot tub was wonderful after a hard day on the slopes. The location is great too. Close to town and 2 blocks from the gondola. The wifi was not the best and kept dropping. Peter the property manager was quick to communicate via text, he did come over to reset it and bring us some firm pillows, however, the wifi still was weak and dropping.

The bed in the other master should be upgraded to a King and light weight comforter is needed for the summer. We love the house but it can get hot in the late afternoon. if you leave the windows open you hear the street noise of the late night crowd walking home. A King bed would help us middle agers stay cool and sleep better.

We had a wonderful time staying at Racer's Roost. Its location can't be beat: close to the gondola and everything in town. The home's set up worked well for our family: two grown sons and one girlfriend...everyone had a master suite. We appreciated the cleanliness, the amenities (hot showers with good water pressure, and nice beds and linens) the living space, the hot tub, as well as the piano, books and fireplace. Peter could not have been more gracious in getting us oriented. His responses to our questions were always timely and helpful. It was a treat spending family time in this lovely home.

We had our 9 mo. old granddaughter with us and Pam at the management company was extremely helpful in helping us get a crib and other things for her. We loved our stay at Racers Roost! The service provided by WTT was excellent. Groceries, ship ahead boxes and a Christmas tree delivered and someone there to greet us at arrival to boot. The house was very well stocked and kitchen had everything we needed.. All beds perfectly comfortable, hot tub clean and hot (and surprisingly private with a view!). Having a piano was a nice benefit for us. You can't get a better location just a short walk to the gondola, market and restaurants. We just skipped the line at ski storage and walked home with our skis, super easy! Not one complaint except that a bluetooth speaker would be nice but you can just bring one! Will definitely stay there again!

Racer Roost was a perfect home to rent in Telluride. Very well maintained, clean and nicely appointed. Excellent location, close to the gondola, restaurants and festival grounds. The jacuzzi on the upstairs balcony was clean and a perfect temperature. Peter was great too! He greeted us when we arrived and saw us off the morning we departed. He checked in with me on the second day to see how things were going. I mentioned all was good except the house was short on large drinking glasses. Within a hour, a case of glasses were delivered! Great vacation rental, we'll be back for sure.

Guys serious ski trip for many of us who have had the luxury of skiing and staying at great places. Racers Roost from beginning to end was ideal. Pristinely clean and up to date, amazing location, amazing hosts. Great privacy, 2-5 minutes walk from literally everywhere you want to go. Our hosts Peter and Pam went above and beyond to secure our comfort and every need. We will definitely be back.
